Cowboy Singer/Songwriter, G.T. HURLEY, breeds ranch raised Quarter Horses and makes his home under the shadows of the Crazy Mountains in Montana.  Living, and working in the ranching community, he writes about the West as he sees it.  Nominated by the Western Music Association in 2012 and again in 2013 for The Crescendo Award, he performs at popular festivals throughout the West including Heber City, Utah, Durango, Colorado, Elko, Nevada and Sierra Vista, Arizona.  Opening for entertainers such as Baxter Black and Jon Chandler, G.T. plays the same stages as top performers Michael Martin Murphey, Dave Stamey, Juni Fisher, and Sons of the San Joaquin. His album, “Tough Horses,” was produced by renowned Cowboy Entertainer, Dave Stamey.  “Tough Horses” was #1 on the Top 30 Album Play List for Western CD’s and a second album, "War Horses" was just released in 2014. Known for his distinctive voice, powerful songs, and engaging entertaining style, G.T. commands the stage.

OutWest and the Western Music Association California Chapter celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival! This evening is sure to delight you with a unique combination of poetry and live music.  The celebration continues at the Buckaroo Book Shop at  Melody Ranch on April 20 & 21 for more live readings and author appearances. Join us as we celebrate the rich music and original poetry of the West with  performances by John Bergstrom, George Dickey, Kristyn Harris: WMA Crescendo Award Winner, GT Hurley, Marvin O'Dell: Songwriter, CD, and DJ of the Year, and Jean Sudbury. If you are a friend or fan of Les Buffham, Poet and Songwriter of the Year, he'll be in the house! Our participating performer list grows daily and there will be Surprise Guests!
